CITEL Approves Recommendation for Japanese-Originated Wireless Power Transfer

From April 6 to 10, 2026, Mr. Kodate, our Standardization Manager, attended the 47th PCC.II Meeting of CITEL (Inter-American Telecommunication Commission) held in Portsmouth, Dominica.
He participated as an observer representing the APT (Asia-Pacific Telecommunity). During this session, a new recommendation concerning Radiative Wireless Power Transfer (beam WPT) was officially approved.

Key Highlights of the Approval

The newly approved recommendation defines recommended values for frequency bands and output power for "Beam WPT", primarily targeting applications such as sensors.

This achievement follows the international recommendations already approved by the ITU-R (International Telecommunication Union Radiocommunication Sector).
By establishing clear standards within the Americas, this milestone is expected to:

・Deepen the global consensus toward international WPT standardization.

・Significantly accelerate the global adoption and implementation of WPT technology.

Our Future Commitment

We remain dedicated to proactively driving international standardization activities.
Our goal is to promote the global expansion of WPT technology and regulatory frameworks originating from Japan, contributing to a more connected and wireless future.
